What we did in Week 9

  This week we went out to the farm and took videos of it to make movie about it. We also uploaded videos from the 50's, 60's, and the 70's. Finally we took a video of ourselves shooting finger guns and added a gunshot audio to it.

Film Production Terms

 Script- write a script for (a play, movie, or broadcast).

Storyboard- a sequence of drawings, typically with some directions and dialogue, representing the shots planned for a movie or television production.

low angle- a shot from a camera angle positioned low on the vertical axis, anywhere below the eye line, looking up.

close up-  a type of shot that tightly frames a person or object.

three quarter shot- a photo of a train in which the lead locomotive is captured at a 45ยบ angle to head on so the details of both the nose of the locomotive and one side are both visible.

extreme long shot- a view from an even greater distance, in which people appear as small dots in the landscape if at all

director- a person who supervises the actors, camera crew, and other staff for a movie, play, television program, or similar production.

final cut- the final edited version of a film, approved by the director and producer.

high angle-  looks down at the subject from a higher perspective and can convey information or elicit an emotional response from the audience

medium close up- a person would show the upper torso and head. In face-to-face interaction this mimics the proximity of the personal zone. See also close-up.

full body shot-  shot that typically shows the entire object or human figure and is usually intended to place it in some relation to its surroundings.

editing- to prepare motion-picture film, video, or magnetic tape by deleting, arranging, and splicing, by synchronizing the sound record with the film, etc.

dutch angle-the technique consists of an angled camera shot where the horizon line isn't parallel with the bottom of the frame, and vertical lines are at an angle to the side of the frame.

extreme close up- a more intense version of the close-up, usually showing only the subject's eyes or another part of their face.

medium shot-  type of camera shot in film and television that shows an actor approximately from the waist up.

long shot- a view of a scene that is shot from a considerable distance, so that people appear as indistinct shapes.

Camera shot Vocab


 High angle shota cinematic technique where the camera looks down on the subject from a high angle and the point of focus often gets "swallowed up". 



Medium long shot-  would show their head and body above the knees so that much of the surrounding context would also be visible.



Two shot- a type of shot in which the frame encompasses two people.



Big close up- would show their face from forehead to chin.



Low angle shot-  a shot from a camera angle positioned low on the vertical axis, anywhere below the eye line, looking up.



Medium shot- a camera angle shot from a medium distance.





Close up- a type of shot that tightly frames a person or object.





Extreme close up-

Long shot-  a view of a scene that is shot from a considerable distance, so that people appear as indistinct shapes.



Over the shoulder- 
 a shot that gives us a character's point of view but that includes part of that character's shoulder or the side of the head in the shot.

Extra Credit 20 photos




 

Week 6 computer tech journal

 This week in computer tech we were introduced to iMovie and learned how to use it. We also learned how to convert a YouTube video into an mp3 audio. We then put that audio plus 20 photos of nature into iMovie and made a video then posted it.
